We’re super excited to announce that on September 26th we made our first donation! We gave $4,000 to Anne & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago to help purchase new cooling equipment for HIE babies. Prentice and Lurie’s have been such a huge part of our lives and helping Leah get to where she is today and we are happy to be a part of helping them help other babies like Leah. Like most HIE babies, her post-NICU visits to Lurie’s have involved a wide range of specialists to make sure she’s progressing well.
We thought it was only fitting to have Leah hand the real check directly to Ted McCartan Director of Community Outreach, which she did with her typical enthusiasm (and a small sneeze).
